SECTION 120:10-17-3. General requirement

- (a) This section applies to all new vehicle use areas and existing use areas altered or improved subsequent to the adoption of this regulation, and whenever a structure is enlarged or a change in use occurs that increases the required parking or loading.(1) A landscape plan shall be required prior to issuance of any determination of zoning compliance or other required permits.(2) Surface lots operating before the passage of this regulation shall have 48 months to comply.(b) Surface parking lots shall have a minimum landscaped area equal to at least 15 percent of the gross paved area within the lot.(1) In no case shall the owner be required to provide landscaped areas that exceed 15 percent of the gross paved area.(2) The interior landscape area shall contain sufficient trees, shrubs, and ground cover.
