SECTION 145:10-3-2. Definitions

- All definitions in 145:10-1-2 apply to this Subchapter. In addition, the following words or terms, when used in this Subchapter, shall have the following meaning, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:"Appeal" means a request for reconsideration of a determination on any action related to State assistance. Specific procedures for appeals are contained in the relevant subchapters of this chapter."Incident" means any condition which meets the definition of major disaster or emergency as set forth in 145:10-1-2 which causes damage or hardship that may result in a Gubernatorial declaration of a major disaster or an emergency."Incident period" means the time interval during which the disaster-causing incident occurs. No State assistance under the Act shall be approved unless the damage or hardship to be alleviated resulted from the disaster-causing incident which took place during the incident period or was in anticipation of that incident period. The incident period will be established by OEM.
