SECTION 165:15-3-25. Testing and inspection of large volume meters

- (a) All large meters at refinery terminals and pipeline terminals used to deliver a petroleum product for sale to another party must be calibrated for accuracy every six (6) months or every ten (10) million gallons, whichever comes first. The tolerances in Appendix A apply.(b) The owner, operator or lessor must have a certified source calibrate all meters.(c) A certified source must complete all calibrations when maintenance or recalibration is required. If calibration is performed more than twice a year, the next calibration is due six (6) months from last calibration.(d) The owner, operator or lessor of meters is responsible for notifying the Compliance and Inspection Department in advance of the calibration so a Fuel Specialist may witness it. A copy of the test results shall be provided to the Compliance and Inspection Department within ten (10) working days of completion of the test.
