Chapter 20. Rules Governing the Administration of Anesthesia |
SECTION 195:20-1-14. Anesthesia Advisory Committee

- (a) An Anesthesia advisory Committee shall be formed to advise the Board concerning the administration of anesthesia and sedation. This Committee shall have the following functions:(1) Advise the Board in rulemaking regarding anesthesia and sedation;(2) Submit names of dentists to the Board for its consideration in appointing provider permit and facility inspectors;(3) Formulate and revise checklists for provider permits and facility inspections for the Board's consideration;(4) Hold meetings at least annually and no more than quarterly.(b) The Anesthesia Advisory Committee shall be composed of:(1) One (1) dentist who holds a general anesthesia provider permit;(2) One (1) dentist who holds a conscious sedation provider permit;(3) One (1) dentist provider permit holder at large;(4) One (1) current dentist member of the Board;(5) One (1) dentist who holds a pediatric conscious sedation provider permit.(c) Members of this committee shall be appointed by the Board and serve a term of three years. Appointments shall be made so that approximately one-third of the committee is re-appointed each year.
