Second Amended Executive Order 2019-1 I, J. Pursuant to 44 O.S. § 26(A), the Adjutant General shall be in control of the Military Department, subordinate only to the Governor. The State Chief Information Officer shall remain an appointee of the Governor and an employee of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services pursuant to 62 O.S. § 34.11.1. The CIO shall continue to administer the OMES Information Services Division and the statewide plan to reform, streamline, and consolidate the state of Oklahoma's information technology and telecommunications structure, operations, and purchasing procedures in order to reduce the size of government and ensure that essential public services are delivered to Oklahoma taxpayers in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible. The information technology consolidation has brought positive attention to Oklahoma as a progressive state in the information technology arena and the legislative intent of the consolidation effort remains a priority of this administration.
