Executive Order 2020-11  
I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff on Monday, March 30, 2020, to honor the life and legacy of Thomas Allen Coburn, who passed away on March 28, 2020. Former Senator Coburn was an American politician and physician who, as a Republican, served both as a United States Representative and later a United States Senator from Oklahoma.
Former Senator Coburn had an extraordinary record of leadership and knowledge that exemplified his steadfast and honorable lifetime commitment to service. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma Medical School. Resolute, skilled and uncompromised in his performance both as a medical doctor and statesman, Senator Coburn's legacy is significant and enduring.
Former Senator Coburn is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, and their three daughters Callie, Katie and Sarah.
This Executive Order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.
