I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Sections 1 and 2 of Article VI of the Oklahoma Constitution, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020, through 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2020, in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995. Today, we remember the one hundred sixty-eight individuals who lost their lives, including nineteen children, and the more than eight hundred and fifty others who were injured that fateful Wednesday morning, as well as the hundreds of first-responders who risked their lives to rescue, treat, and serve the survivors. Oklahoma is blessed to have strong men and women with remarkable courage who banded together in a community-wide display of noble humanity, known nationwide as The Oklahoma Standard. May this 25th anniversary, remembered and acknowledged during the COVID-19 emergency, renew our hope and faith as we humbly ask God, through prayer and supplication, to grant us all grace and wisdom. Let us join together in prayer for our nation and for those still effected by the 25th Anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995. This Executive Order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, which shall cause the provisions of this Order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of State government. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this 16th day of April, 2019. BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA J. Kevin Stitt Michael Rogers Secretary of State
