SECTION 210:35-13-57. Professional development programs

  • (a)   Professional development programs and inservice training shall be developed through program objectives, needs assessment, faculty and staff involvement. Inservice training shall be planned to meet program objectives and identified needs. Participants shall evaluate the professional development program. Such evaluation shall include an evaluation of the program, including each inservice activity.
    (b)   Orientation and professional development inservice programs shall provide initial assistance for beginning staff and encourage continued professional growth.
    (c)   Instructors shall participate in ongoing inservice activities which continually update their technical/academic expertise as well as instructional methodology. New career technology instructors shall participate in preservice professional development activities as required by the appropriate divisions of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. All secondary and full-time adult career technology instructors and staff shall participate in professional inservice as required by the appropriate division, including CareerTech Summer Conference and mid-year activities.
