SECTION 210:35-3-107. Health services

- (a) The school shall have a written description of the health services program. The program will function as an integral part of the total education program and provide a program of services for all students. Services of a nurse shall be available. Staff and patrons shall be made aware of program provisions.(b) The school shall develop specific procedures to be followed in cases of accidents, emergencies, and disasters.(c) The provider of health services shall communicate to appropriate staff members and parents health information that is pertinent to the learning process or for the safety of students while ensuring privacy for students and teachers through collection, use, and retention of personal information.(d) The school's staff shall work closely with other specialized persons, clinics, or agencies in the community and, when appropriate, shall make student referrals.(e) The school shall develop specific procedures for reporting child abuse and child neglect.
