SECTION 235:10-7-1. Reinstatement of licenses lapsed for non-payment

(a)   Fee payment. A funeral director or embalmer license that for a period of less than three (3) years lapsed for failure to pay renewal fees may by payment of all past dues and penalties be reinstated without retaking the State Law Exam.
(b)   Lapsed license. If a funeral director or embalmer license has been lapsed for three or more years, to be reinstated the holder of such lapsed license shall apply for and successfully pass the State Law Examination and pay a fee of $500.00.
(c)   Required grade. Any applicant taking the State Law Examination must make a grade of 75% or better for the license to be reinstated.
