SECTION 252:690-5-2. Discharge Standards

Discharge permit criteria allow the DEQ to include measures for the protection of groundwater quality, and require the responsible party to report all spills of reportable quantities and respond accordingly to protect waters of the state, which includes groundwater. Additionally, DEQ may add requirements for the protection of groundwater to general discharge permits. See OAC 252:606 for these requirements.
