SECTION 265:25-1-5. Carbon dioxide

- All occupancies under the jurisdiction of the State Fire Marshal's Office with a carbon dioxide system must have properly installed carbon dioxide detector(s). If there is a fire alarm system installed the carbon dioxide detector(s) must be tied to the fire alarm system and sound a general alarm both in the audible and visual form. If there is not a fire alarm system the carbon dioxide detector(s) must provide a local alarm both in the audible and visual form. Plans must be submitted to and reviewed for approval by the State Fire Marshal's Office. All carbon dioxide permitting requirements are identified on the State Fire Marshal's Office website.
