SECTION 268:4-3-2. Scope and Description

Latest version.
  • (a)   This sub-chapter describes the purpose of and the methodology behind the administration and maintenance of other firefighter training incentive programs besides those related to the training tax credits for volunteer firefighters (set forth in Chapter 3 of Title 268) for the Council On Firefighter Training, as required by 75 O.S., Section 302.
    (b)   Incentive programs for firefighter training can be a particularly effective means of raising the level of firefighter training across the state. It is in the best interests of the citizens and companies of Oklahoma to have well-trained firefighters. When firefighters are well-trained, they are better able to save lives and protect the critical economic infrastructure across the state. In addition, having well-trained firefighters typically minimizes firefighter injuries and fatalities.
