Chapter 4. Other Firefighter Training Incentive Programs |
Subchapter 5. Methodology for Program Development |
SECTION 268:4-5-2. Methodology for development of other potential incentive programs
Latest version.
- (a) Aside from the firefighter training tax incentives (covered separately in Chapter 3), the Council On Firefighter Training is interested to investigate potential program(s). Such new programs are anticipated to increase the level of firefighter training for Oklahoma's firefighters. One such example is a new statewide patching program that would inspire the state's firefighters to continue work on more training. They could earn new patches displaying the highest level(s) of training which they have completed in various categories needed by the fire service. This incentive program is also expected to build esprit d'corps, as well as assist with recruitment and retention of firefighters across the state.(b) In line with the charge to make recommendations to the Governor, the President Pro Tempore, and the Speaker of the House as stated in H in 74 O.S., Section 325.1., the Council On Firefighter Training shall recommend those new incentive program(s) to the Leadership at the Capitol which have been examined thoroughly for their feasibility with regard their anticipated impact and costs.
