Latest version.
- (a) In 74 O.S., Section 325.1., the third responsibility with which the Council On Firefighter Training is charged is 74 O.S., Section 325.1.G. (3) administering and maintaining the incentive and recognition programs established for Oklahoma firefighters.(b) At such time as the Legislature/Leadership at the Capitol shall authorize the establishment of new recognition program(s), the Council On Firefighter Training looks forward to bringing these new programs into reality by administering and maintaining them, as we have successfully done with the training tax credit for volunteer firefighters.(c) In the meantime due to COFT's other responsibility to make recommendations to the Leadership at the Capitol, the Council On Firefighter Training shall work to design and develop concepts for potential new recognition program(s). These will encourage Oklahoma's firefighters to increase the level of their training. As part of COFT's recommendations, the Council On Firefighter Training would propose them to the Leadership at the Capitol for funding.
