SECTION 310:281-11-3. Prohibitions

- (a) The Department may prohibit use of diagnostic x-ray systems, which pose significant threat or endanger public health and safety.(b) Individuals shall not be exposed to the useful beam except for healing arts purposes and unless such exposure has been authorized by a licensed practitioner of the healing arts. This provision specifically prohibits deliberate exposure for the following purposes:(l) exposure of an individual for training, demonstration, or other non-healing arts purposes; and(2) exposure of an individual for the purpose of healing arts screening except as authorized by 310:281-11-4(g).(c) Non-image-intensified fluoroscopic equipment shall not be used.(d) Exposure of a personnel monitoring device to deceptively indicate a dose delivered to an individual is prohibited.(e) Cardboard film holders without screens shall not be used.
