SECTION 310:641-5-18. Renewal requirements of the Emergency Medical Responder

- A completed Emergency Medical Responder certification renewal application shall be completed and submitted to the Department with:(1) the fee for the line of duty death benefit detailed in the Act,(2) a current NREMT emergency medical responder certification, or(3) a course completion certificate or final roster showing satisfactory completion of a Department approved refresher course,(4) current copy of a provider level CPR card that meets or exceeds American Heart Association standards,(5) completed criminal conviction and character statement. If a candidate for renewal has been convicted, adjudicated, or pled guilty or nolo contender to a crime, documentation of the disposition and outcome of the case will be sent to the Department for a case by case review. The Department may at its discretion deny a renewed certificate to anyone convicted of a crime.(6) applications for renewal must be postmarked no later than June 30 of the expiration year.(7) subsequent recertification shall be for a two year period beginning July 1, to June 30.
