SECTION 310:667-7-5. Administrator duties

- (a) The administrator, as appointed by the governing body, shall act as the executive officer of the hospital, be responsible for the management of the hospital, and provide liaison for the governing body to the medical staff, nursing staff, and other departments of the hospital.(b) In discharging his or her duties, the administrator shall keep the governing body fully informed of the conduct of the hospital through written reports and by attendance at meetings of the governing body and meetings of the medical staff.(c) The administrator shall organize the day-to-day functions of the hospital through appropriate departmentalization and delegation of duties.(d) The administrator shall establish formal means of accountability on the part of the subordinates to whom he or she has assigned duties.
