SECTION 340:20-1-6. Coordination with utility suppliers

It is the responsibility of Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) program field representative staff to familiarize utility suppliers with LIHEAP per 8624 of Title 42 of the United States Code. County office staffemail Adult and Family Services LIHEAP program field representative staff when a utility supplier or a client reports an account name or number requires a correction. During the Energy Crisis Assistance Program, centralized LIHEAP staff must coordinate with utility suppliers to pledge payment and ensure fuel is delivered in a timely manner to settle the energy crisis.
