SECTION 35:18-1-1. Purpose

- (a) These rules are for regulating the disposal of all domestic animal carcasses in Oklahoma pursuant to the provisions of Section 1223 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.(b) The owner of any domestic animal shall be required to dispose of its carcass within twenty-four (24) hours after notice or knowledge of the animal's death.(c) These rules shall supercede any other rules related to carcass disposal in Title 35 of the Oklahoma Administrative Code, except for those related to licensed managed feeding operations pursuant to 35:17-3-17. These rules shall not apply to wildlife, but may be used as guidance in disposal of wildlife animal carcasses.
