SECTION 35:40-9-7. Audit

- (a) Applicants shall allow the State Auditor or any auditor specified by the Department to conduct an examination or audit of all monies expended from the Fund. All records relating to the expenditure of the Funds monies shall be made available when requested by any authorized representative of the Department.(b) Applicants shall retain all records relating to the grant funds for a period of three years. If an audit, litigation, or other action involving the records are started before the end of the three year period, the records are required to be maintained for three years from the date that all issues arising out of the action are resolved or until the end of the three year retention period, whichever is later.
