SECTION 375:25-1-5. Investigation of license applications and issuance or denial of license

- (a) Upon receipt of the application and required materials from the sheriff, the OSBI shall confirm that the application form has been filled out properly. If the form has been properly filled out, the OSBI shall conduct its investigation pursuant to Title 21 O.S. 1995, Section 1290.12 (10-11).(b) Issuance or denial of license shall be pursuant to Title 21 O.S. 1995, Section 1290.12(12).(1) A license shall be valid in this state for a period of 5 or 10 years, unless subsequently suspended or revoked as provided by law.(2) Once issued a license, the licensee shall be required to have possession of his or her valid handgun license and a valid driver license or a State photo identification at all times when in possession of an authorized pistol. See Title 21 O.S. 1995, Section 1290.8.
