SECTION 375:25-3-7. Initiation of hearings

- (a) Upon notice of a violation requiring the suspension or revocation of a handgun license, or the assessment of an administrative fine, as provided in the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act, the General Counsel shall cause the filing of the initial Pleading in the case which shall be entitled NOTICE OF HEARING ON THE MERITS: the caption of the Notice requesting the hearing as petitioner. The Notice shall provide the petitioner with reasonable notice of the time and place of the hearing, and the matter to be considered at that time.(b) An applicant or licensee who is entitled to a hearing before the OSBI under the terms of the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act may file a demand for hearing, except when such hearing is automatic as an operation of law or these rules. The request shall include a brief statement stating the petitioner's position. The General Counsel shall file a response.
