SECTION 377:10-13-105. Counseling

- (a) The facility shall provide access to guidance counseling and treatment programs to meet each juvenile's emergency mental health needs and well-being.(b) A qualified staff member shall be available to counsel juveniles upon the juveniles' request. Counseling must be provided as identified in the juvenile's Individual Service Plan. Staff shall be available to provide counseling on an emergency basis.(c) All counselors must have either a:(1) Bachelors degree in a behavioral science and two years experience in working with juveniles; or(2) Masters degree in a behavioral science and one year experience in working with juveniles.(d) The facility shall provide juveniles access to mental health counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.(e) All facility staff shall be familiar with available counseling programs.
