SECTION 450:27-3-23. Volunteers

- (a) If volunteers are utilized, the program will have specific policies and procedures to define the purpose, scope, training, supervision related to the use of volunteers.(b) A qualified staff member shall be assigned as the volunteer coordinator.(c) Policies and procedures for volunteers and the services they perform shall be initially approved by the governing authority and upon revision.(d) Volunteers are required to receive in-service training pursuant to 27-3-26.(e) Compliance with 450: 27-3-23 shall be determined by a review of volunteer policies and procedures; designation of a volunteer coordinator; written orientation plan; orientation program; written goals and objectives; volunteer personnel files; and volunteer records.
