SECTION 595:1-3-10. Hearing examiners

- The Commissioner of Public Safety and/or the appointed hearing examiners may have the following powers, in addition to air other powers specified in this chapter or by law:(1) To give notice concerning reviews and hearings;(2) To administer oaths and affirmations;(3) To summons witnesses;(4) To examine witnesses and take testimony;(5) To issue subpoenas, to take depositions, or cause depositions or interrogatories to be taken;(6) To rule upon offers of proof and to receive relevant evidence;(7) To hold conferences, before or during a hearing, for the settlement or simplification of issues;(8) To rule on motions and to dispose of procedural requests or similar matters;(9) To make initial or final decisions as provided herein or by law;(10) To take any other action authorized by this chapter, The Administrative Procedures Act [75 O.S §250 et seq.], or by any other applicable statute, or rule.
