SECTION 730:1-3-6. Election of Director

The Commission shall, by a majority vote of its total membership, appoint the Directory of the Department of Transportation who shall be the administrative head and chief executive officer of the Department. The Director shall serve at the pleasure of the Commission. Upon appointment, the Directory shall assume the duties and responsibilities imposed by statute and as set forth in this Title.
