SECTION 785:55-7-8. Initial accreditation requirements and standards

- (a) To obtain initial accreditation, the Board may consider the knowledge, experiences, skills, and training of an applicant in floodplain management and in minimization and prevention of flood hazards.(b) Knowledge, experiences, skills, and training of an applicant in floodplain management and in minimization and prevention of flood hazards can be shown through documentation demonstrating one of the following:(1) completion of a continuing education training approved by the Board;(2) evidence of at least two (2) years of sufficient experience in floodplain management;(3) proof of current standing as a CFM® in the certification program of OFMA or other association; or(4) successful passage of an examination given by the Board.
