SECTION 800:15-1-3. General; operating provisions

- Operating provisions for commercial fishermen shall be in accordance with 29 O.S., Sections 4-103, 4-104, 4-105, 6-201, 6-202 and the following:(1) Areas to be commercially fished shall be assigned by local Ranger. The licensee shall notify the local Ranger when commercial fishing operations are beginning and when fishing operations are completed.(2) In any commercial fishing operation, all unmarketable nongame fish, regardless of size must be removed from the premises and disposed of; and under no condition shall they be returned to the water, dead or alive.(3) Set or unattended pieces of equipment used in commercial fishing operations in the waters of Oklahoma shall bear identification tags at each end of each piece of equipment and must be tagged, not to exceed six hundred (600) feet between tags.(4) Commercial fishing is prohibited on the State Holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. All nets must be removed from the water on the last legal fishing day before each of these three (3) holidays and may be reset on the next legal fishing day.(5) From June 1 through September 7 of each year, all nets must be removed from the water on each Friday and may be reset on each Monday of each week.
