The program provides financial assistance and technical assistance to eligible entities to provide a range of services and activities having a measurable and potential major impact on causes of poverty in communities or those areas of a community where poverty is an acute problem. Basic services considered are employment, education, nutrition, health, housing, income management, emergency services, linkages and self-sufficiency.
