- (a) 8-year post-closure monitoring. The following facilities shall conduct post-closure monitoring in accordance with this Part for a minimum of eight (8) years after DEQ approval of final closure:(1) new or currently active C&D landfills; and(2) new or currently active generator owned and operated NHIW landfills.(b) 30-year post-closure monitoring. New or currently active MSWLFs and other land disposal facilities shall conduct post-closure monitoring in accordance with this Part for a minimum of thirty (30) years after DEQ approval of final closure.(c) Non-land disposal facilities. Non-land disposal facilities shall conduct post-closure monitoring and care for a period specified by the DEQ if it is determined that post-closure monitoring and care are necessary due to soil or surface or groundwater contamination from activities performed at the facility.
