SECTION 260:45-3-4. HealthChoice authorization for release of medical records

- Through the submission of claims, each member for whom coverage is applied authorizes, without further notice or consent, EGID to obtain from any provider of medical services, all records and information pertaining to that service which will aid in the proper payment of said claims. EGID is further authorized to use and release to third party payers any information and records so obtained. In all instances, the Rules of Confidentiality shall be applied without regard to the requirements of 260:45-3-2.
