SECTION 310:281-9-11. Surveys

- (a) Each permittee shall make or cause to be made such surveys as may be necessary to establish compliance with these rules.(b) Any survey instruments used to make physical radiation surveys as required by 310:281-9-11(a) shall be calibrated and operable.(c) Each radiation survey instrument shall be calibrated:(1) by a person recognized by the Department as competent to perform such service;(2) at intervals not to exceed 12 months unless a more restrictive time interval is specified in another subchapter of these rules;(3) after each survey instrument repair;(4) for the types of radiation used and at energies appropriate for use; and(5) at an accuracy within 20 percent of the true radiation level.(d) Records of survey instrument calibrations shall be maintained for inspection by the Department.
