- (a) Records shall be maintained of the transactions of the pharmacy (or drug room) to account for the receipt, distribution, disposition, and destruction of drugs and biologicals.(b) A record of the stock of controlled dangerous drug substances on hand shall be maintained and the record shall be maintained in such a manner that the disposition of any particular item may be readily traced.(c) Methods shall be provided of reconciliation of drugs distributed to the nurses station for administration to a patient.(d) Floor stock shall be controlled. Distribution shall be in accordance with the floor stock drug list. A method shall be provided of reconciliation of floor stock drugs distributed for use in a procedure or for a particular patient.
