SECTION 35:1-12-9. Application evaluation process

- (a) Review and evaluation of applications. Applications will be evaluated and ranked by a Review Committee established by the Department or Director as appropriate to the funding source. The standard of review and selection of projects will be based upon the overall merit of the project as compared to other applications received. Applications with the highest evaluations will be recommended for funding to the extent of funds available.(b) Application evaluation criteria. In anticipation of receiving applications for funding greater than the funds available, evaluation criteria will be used to rank the applications. These criteria will be developed by the Department, Director and Review Committee and will be pertinent to the defined purpose of the grant funding.
